Description
THE QUICK HITCH TRAINING COURSE OBJECTIVE:
Provide knowledge and understanding of quick hitch attachments. Provide practical instruction to enable delegates to comply with manufacturers fitting instructions for positioning, connection and operation of the quick hitch systems.
THE AIM OF THE COURSE:
This course will provide THE Quick Hitch Training Course participants with the knowledge and skills to undertake the necessary steps to carry out safe operation of quick hitch attachments safety whilst operating plant equipment. Participants will also be able to carry out pre-start and stop checks and also select correct equipment and devices for host machine type.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates do not require any previous experience but must be able to certify that they are physically fit and have no medical conditions that might prevent them from attending this course. Delegates should be able to write and speak in English. Safety equipment will be supplied by your trainer.
COURSE SUMMARY:
Candidates will participate in theory lessons and practical demonstrations / exercises, all of which are highlighted by the use of Video Presentations covering:
- Current legislation
- Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulation
- Selection of appropriate equipment
- Risk assessment
- Routine maintenance of equipment
- Inspection of quick hitch equipment (as per manufacturers recommendations and instructions)
- Safe use of equipment
- Cleaning and routine maintenance of equipment through operational cycle
- Theory assessment
- Practical assessment (operation cycle)
CERTIFICATION:
NPORS Accreditation. Card & Certificate of Competence, valid for 3 years before renewal.
