Description
AIM OF THE RIDE ON ROLLER TRAINING COURSE:
This course will provide participants with the knowledge and skill to undertake all necessary steps in order to carry out the safe operations of Ride on Rollers, including site safety during operation of the equipment. Participants will also be able to carry out pre-start and stop checks.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
On completion of the Ride On Roller Training course candidates will have an updated knowledge of health and safety awareness and be able to work at a significantly lower risk to themselves and others whilst operating the Roller. Candidates will be able to operate to the requirements of the current legislation.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates require previous experience and must be able to certify that they are physically fit and have no medical conditions that might prevent them from attending this course. Delegates should be able to write and speak in English. Safety equipment will be supplied by your trainer.
COURSE SUMMARY:
Candidates will participate in theory lessons and practical demonstrations / exercises, all of which are highlighted by the use of Video Presentations covering:
- The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
- Provision of Use and Work Equipment Regulations
- Selection appropriate equipment
- Risk assessment
- Routine maintenance of equipment
- Inspection of Ride on Roller
- Safe use of equipment
- Cleaning, discharge of water tanks
- Theory assessment
- Practical assessment
CERTIFICATION:
Card & Certificate of Competence, valid for 3 years before renewal

NPORS (N214) Road Roller Card
